We are all still feeling the significant impact Hurricane Helene had on our 2024 Annual Meeting. The storm's devastation was unforeseen, and we deeply regret the disruption it caused. Many of you played in integral role in sharing information and resources, and for that, we sincerely thank you!

We are incredibly grateful to the Renaissance Asheville Hotel staff for taking great care of us despite the tremendous challenges they faced. Many staff members had no contact with their families and were unaware of the damage to their homes. Their commitment under such circumstances was truly commendable.

Safety and Wellbeing
The safety of our attendees and members is our top priority. We have done our best to maintain a list of all attendees who have made it home safely and believe all attendees are accounted for. We know many of you formed meaningful relationships and deepened bonds over the weekend. If you need assistance in contacting someone or inquiring about their status, please email [email protected] for more information.

Questions
We know you have questions about the meeting, NCPA staff are diligently working on answers. Rebuilding efforts in Asheville, including the venue, are ongoing, which creates a delay in our ability to finalize details. We are actively collaborating with the venue staff, the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and our event insurance broker. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this complex situation.

Please direct your questions to [email protected]. We will continue to provide updates as soon as information becomes available.

Share Your Experience
Many NCPA members have experiences they would like to share with the membership community. We're currently exploring the best way to provide everyone with an opportunity to contribute. In the meantime, feel free to share your story with us at [email protected]. Once we've determined the most effective format for compiling these stories, we'll reach out to you for permission to use your contribution.
